ABOUT US: The Organization

Our History

     The Entrepreneurship Educators’ Association of the Philippines is a nonstick, nonprofit professional organization consisting of educators and entrepreneurs aspiring to promote business entrepreneurship in order to propel the country to economic progress.  It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). 

     The first batch of officers was elected in School Year 2000-2001 with Prof. Amelia D. Balan of Centro Escolar University as the first president. 

     ENEDA was formally registered with SEC in 2002 with Prof. Antonio R. Arevalo, Jr. of St. Scholastica’s College as its elected president in School Year 2002-2003 and served until School Year 2003-2004.

The first ENEDA National Conference with the theme “Breaking Barriers, Breaching Boundaries” was held in BaguioCity in April 10-12, 2003 at Hotel Veniz, BaguioCity.

      ENEDA owes its roots to the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurs’ Association, Inc. (ASPEN).  While having found its niche, ENEDA continues to link up with ASPEN, the PhiippineCenter for Entrepreneurship, (PCE)and other private and government agencies in many of its projects and activities.

 
Mission Statement

            As a professional organization, ENEDA commits itself to assist all its members in accessing or actually developing for their immediate use all the relevant knowledge and skills needed in teaching college students to become effective, efficient, morally and spiritually upright, and socially responsible entrepreneurs.

Vision Statement

             ENEDA shall be operational and known nationwide as the professional organization that will enable students majoring in Entrepreneurship to eventually become motivated and productive entrepreneurs, as well as existing entrepreneurs to become more efficient and effective in their business, both of whom greatly contribute to economic prosperity and nation-building.

 

Strategies for ENEDA

             Nationwide membership of educators currently handling subjects relating to Commerce or Business Administration, particularly those involved in the formation/development of entrepreneurship majors, those taking up vocational/technical courses as well as educators in the secondary level handling subjects such as PEHM, THE, or its equivalent; and

          Strong and active linkages with private and government agencies that have direct or indirect bearing and influence on education, training, and retraining of students majoring in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship faculty, as well as local entrepreneurs.
